This internet/classroom blended course equips students with the knowledge and skills required to verify GHG emissions from facilities permitted in the European Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS).
Candidates enrol online and receive a secure login which enables access to the training areas. Following sucessful completion of the 8 online modules and interactive tests, students undertake the classroom based learning in a three days of lectures, case studies, simulations and worked examples.
Assessment is through a series of interactive online exercises, classroom participation and a short examination. The advantage of working online is that students can spend as much time as they require gaining a thorough understanding of the material rather than sticking to a strict classroom schedule.
Tutor Paul Reed has sucessfully conducted numerous courses for verifiers and other interested parties in the UK, Sweden, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and the USA.
